About:

Christian is a Clinical Mental Health Counseling student at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology who is passionate about creating a supportive, nonjudgment space where clients feel heard, empowered, and respected. He takes a person-centered and cognitive behavioral (CBT) approach, emphasizing on an individual’s unique needs, strengths, and goals. As a bilingual intern who speaks English and Spanish, he strives to build meaningful connections with clients from diverse backgrounds. With over three years of experience working in an outpatient behavioral health setting with adolescents in areas of anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, and life transitions. This has provided him with experience in supporting young people with emotional, behavioral, academic, and interpersonal challenges. He believes therapy should be a collaborative process that promotes self-understanding, personal growth, and meaningful change while honoring each client’s autonomy and lived experiences.
