Hello! I am a bilingual immigrant Latina licensed clinical social worker, with about 12 years of collective experience in community social service field and therapy. As an immigrant from Mexico, I strive to create a space for client-centered, inclusive, culturally relevant, compassionate, affirming and destigmatizing mental health services for all. I utilize a holistic approach that individualizes treatment plans to fit the needs and goals of each of client, focusing on individual strengths. While I work throughout the life span, I specialize in psychotherapy for children, adolescents and young adults with a focus on trauma processing, identity exploration, life transitions, cultural stressors, intergenerational trauma, grief, anxiety, mood disorders, parenting techniques, and neurodivergence. I value a systemic perspective that is intersectional and focuses on social justice, and the impact that oppressive systems have on individuals and their relationships. I utilize a relational approach, meeting each client where they are at and using respect, empathy, creativity and humor in my sessions to help build a strong therapeutic relationship. Throughout my sessions, I use eclectic strategies from various evidence-based interventions, including cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, psychodynamic therapy, narrative therapy, trauma-focused CBT, and art therapy. I also provide family and group therapy with a focus on strengthening relationship and social skills. I have availability of in-person and telehealth sessions. Please contact me for a free consultation to discuss needs and availability.
