What is the GeneSight Test?

The GeneSight test helps your clinician understand how your genes may impact how you respond to certain psychiatric medications.

The results of the test can show which medications may require dose adjustments, may be less likely to work, or may have an increased risk of side effects based on your genetic makeup.

How does GeneSight Testing work?

Step 1

Your clinician collects a DNA sample by painlessly swabbing the inside of your cheek

Step 3

After we receive your sample, your healthcare provider will typically get test results in about 2 days.

Step 4

Your provider can then review the results with you on your next visit.

Step 2

Sample is sent to our lab for analysis.
