Yang Wang
Master Level Clinical Intern
Yang is a clinical intern pursuing an M.A. in Mental Health Counseling at Northwestern University. She bilingual in English and Mandarin, and her herapeutic orientation is rooted in psychodynamic, person-centered, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) approaches. Yang's style is warm, curious, and relational.Life is a series of ever-shifting waves — gentle and calm at times, crashing and overwhelming at others. Yang hopes to be a steady presence for her clients as they navigate these tides, helping them stay rooted and flow with changes through both sunny days and stormy nights. Yang's clinical interests include depression, anxiety, trauma, abuse, relationship challenges, and cross-cultural transitions. She is especially passionate about working with individuals from marginalized communities and believe deeply in equal access to compassionate, culturally attuned mental health care. Yang strives to offer a safe, accepting space where clients feel completely seen and heard. Through exploring past patterns and their impact on the present, and uncover meaningful insights and build a path toward greater fulfillment and resilience.
