His educational journey began at Spartan Health Sciences University, and he furthered his training with an adult psychiatry residency at Michigan State University College of Human Medicine/Western Michigan University School of Medicine. He pursued a fellowship in child & adolescent psychiatry at RUSH University Medical Center in Chicago, followed by a prestigious fellowship in forensic psychiatry at Columbia/Cornell University Medical Center in New York, New York.

Dr. Randhawa is renowned for his psychodynamic training, cultural sensitivity, and down-to-earth approach to mental health care. He serves as an assistant professor of psychiatry at Rush University Medical Center and Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine & Science-Chicago School of Medicine.
